Topic: Go in to PRAY, Step out to Obey!

Text: Mark 11: 24

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” Amen

A renowned Rev. Minister of blessed memory once said, “Often times when friends approach me with some challenge they may be facing, I listen attentively and I ask them, have you prayed about it? I’d often get a response like this ” I’ve been praying about it and just think I need some real solutions. Real solutions??? What could be more real than PRAYER? I’d ask myself silently.” He says.

We often think the facts of life (realities) are in the physical world and prayer is just some activity we do to console the soul. But that is an error, our reality is not in the world out there but in the spiritual.

Prayer is that spiritual key God has given to unlock these spiritual realities into our physical situation. It directs the desires of man into comformity to the will of God. That is why the answer you need is rather in your commitment to prayer.

Those who pray receive from our Father in heaven abundant grace to look like Him. They also receive mercy for all their sins and strength for their every situation. By prayer, they also receive wisdom, enlightenment and guidance that should bring them victory in all they do; if only they can obey.

Therefore, do not go to God in prayer and come out seeking solution. If you prayed to Jehovah, then He is the solution you desire. His Spirit will lead you to all truth.

Meditate on this word and begin to pray God’s Word (regarding your situation) back to Him. Just make sure you are praying in faith, for without faith it is impossible to please God. Right after prayer, step out in humility and obey the Lord’s every directive till victory is won!

Then we get back to prayer to thank God and have Him guide us to maintain the victories won while His grace helps us marshall strength for the challenges that are to come. It’s a cycle that must not break; a wonderful relationship built by constant communication and fellowship.
