Topic: Open Wide Your Mouth!
Text: Ps 81: 10 (NIV)
I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it. Amen
If the Lord cared enough to bring us out of Egypt, why won’t He provide our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. Everyone of us has been there in “Egypt” one way or another. To some of us Egypt refers to our past life of sin, while to several others it represent a situation that kept them bound for a long time.
Whatever our Egypt was God has been good. He has delivered us from all oppression and now He says open your mouth wide and I’ll fill it. It means:
a) Open your mouth wide in constant communication with the Lord. Pray without ceasing for the fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much. (I Thess 5,17 & James 5: 16)
b) Open your mouth wide and eat the Word. For man shall not live by bread alone but by EVERY Word that comes from the mouth of God. (Mat 4: 4)
c) Open your mouth wide and make positive declarations by faith. “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Mat 17: 20)
Brethren, if you feel life has been unfair to you, remember that although God created the earth, it was still unfair (for darkness covered the surface of the earth) until God commanded light.
So now you must by faith declare the word of God against your challenge and watch God deliver you from Egypt and fill your emptiness with His goodness. Open Up Wide to the Lord and be filled with His goodness!
