The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Amen
A Prophet, noted for his dedication to God died leaving debts for his wife and children to pay. Question is: how could such renowed Prophet leave debts for His children?
Our prayers, fastings and bible studies may not yield the expected financial breakthrough we desire unless we apply the principles of
- honesty
- giving
- hard working
- good stewardship
These financial principles above works for all who adhere to them, espercially those of us in the Lord.
Our position in Christ must produce good fruits in every aspect of life, including finances. Remember the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and He adds no sorrows to it.
Don’t become a “prophet” who leaves no inheritance for his family but debt. This is the time to practice some hardwork and break this cycle of poverty and debt.
Prov 13: 22 states that “a good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous”.
From today, have a good attitude towards work and be dilligent with your hands. The Lord God will then His blessings over all you do. Begin to pray!
