Jesus’s Secret Text: Mark 1: 35 Jun 8, 2013

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Amen

In the preceeding verses, esp from verses 21 to 34, Jesus had healed a lot of diseases and driven out countless demons.

He had also preached the Word with so much power and authourity to the astonishment of all residents of Capernaum.

How was it possible for the carpenter’s son whose brothers we know to wield so much power? The answer is simply… He spent time alone praying. He woke up at dawn when the day is solemn and PRAYED!

If you want to see a positive change in your life, family, work, school and ministry, then learn from the Master the act of praying by and for yourself.

We are in a generation where prayer has become a commodity that is bought and sold. Christians pay huge some to see “Men of God” to be prayed for.

These “ministers” are proclaimed to be highly anointed with specialities. The power to ensure the efficacy of their prayers are all summaried in oils, waters, herbs, fruits, creams and perfumes they recommend and sell to their faithfuls.

For the many that would rather pay their way to God, the above is an option worth considering. The fact however forever remains that God requires a relationship not a bribe.

Honestly the life devoted to spending quality time alone with the master yields the best results. Those that choose this path become more and more like Him eachday; both in attitude and in power.

For our daily relationship with God does not only provide all the answers we need but also the intimacy we should have with our Father. YET IT IS FREE OF CHARGE.

Don’t let your work or school schedule steal your relationship with God. Begin to pray!
