Topic: The Light Of Your Face!
Text: Psalm 4: 6
Many are asking, “Who can show us any good?” Let the light of your face shine upon us, Oh Lord. Amen
Well, we just entered the last but one month of the year and many have started asking questions like, “who can show us any good?”, “who can help us?”, “how can we possibly achieve our unfulfilled dreams for the year?”, “how do we go through another Christmas when things are looking this bad for us?”… and so on.
This is because to some of us, although the year has had many blessings that we don’t take for granted, many other questions remain unanswered with a “way forward” that is bleak.
“Is it possible for things to turn around?” you ask. And the answer is yes, yes and yes! If Jehovah could perfect such a complex world within six days, then surely He can turn your situation around in micro seconds. You know that with the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day (2 Peter 3: 8).
Jeremiah puts it better when He says, “Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You” (Jer 32: 17). You see, our God is great and can all things do, no doubt about that. His ability to create this vast world out of nothing in less than a week remains our evidence that nothing is too difficult for Him. The skill, wisdom, power and intelligence required for such a beautiful but complex world is beyond our comprehension.
However, the greatest demonstration of His Ability to work the impossible is how fearfully and wonderfully He’s made you, and the much love He feels towards you by sending His only begotten Son to die that we might live. And if God “did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all–how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8: 32)
Rally the family together therefore. Encourage each other that all hope for this year cannot be lost, and start praying. Thank God for everything you have been through this year and ask that He shines the light of His face upon you, your family, academics, business, relationship and marriage before the year ends.
You see, His countenance is both glorious and eternal; It is heaven’s favour, love, holiness, purity, joy, peace, gifts, provision, salvation, wisdom, honour, mercy, grace and blessings all manifesting as a bright light that shines brighter than the sun. It shines all around Him and radiates from His face to those He Looks upon. MAY THE LORD GOD OF HEAVEN MAGNIFY IT ALL IN YOU RIGHT NOW IN JESUS’ NAME.
You are blessed on every side. From now, do not let your heart be troubled anymore. Should life remind you of the many plans and dreams that are yet to be fulfilled and how far you are from possibly achieving them, just remember that the Lord has said “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jer 32: 27); and smile.
