Topic: He will Not Let You Fall!

Text: Luke 22: 31- 32

31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” Amen.

The new testament believer goes through so much that threatens the very faith he has in Christ Jesus. Sin is becoming more and more attractive in his eyes and he feels almost ready to compromise. He doesn’t want to fall, but also fears he cannot stand to the end.

The struggle sometimes is with his old Adamic nature of sin. He just finds himself  desiring to go back to the very life that Christ has saved him from. Other times, it is the fiery darts of the enemy that are thrown against him on every side. Yet in some other instances, it is the world pulling him from godliness into a life of sin. And a few more times, it is in the attitude of so called “fellow believers” who demonstrate nothing like the Jesus they profess.

With all these threatening our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, it comes as a great relief to know that we serve a mighty God who is committed to seeing us through our Christian walk to the very end. He sees our struggles and willingly offers His Holy Spirit to aid us through our weaknesses. “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet he did not sin” (Heb 4: 15).

Jesus told Simon Peter that satan desires to sift all the disciples like wheat but He (Jesus) has made intercessions for him so that his FAITH DOESN’T FAIL. That way, Peter can help strengthen the rest after his own restoration is complete. (The Master was talking about the events that will unfold before, during and after His death and resurrection).

Rise up above your fears and struggles therefore and uphold the flag of righteousness knowing that God will never let you fall. His strength is made perfect in your every weakness. Begin to pray now asking for grace to STAND for HOLINESS and for righteousness no matter what may.

As a matter of fact, even if you fell yesterday; repent, seek forgiveness and get back up on your feet. For the journey does not end till we are transformed into His image, to behold Him face to face and live with Him eternally.

Now, “to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! (Jude 24, 25).
