Thus Saith The Lord

Today’s Devotion
Topic: Thus Saith The Lord!
Text: Psalm 91: 14

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. Amen

The Word of God is filled with a lot of awesome promises; all of which are ‘Yea and Amen through Christ.’ These promises are from a loving Father to His beloved Sons and Daughters.

Interestingly, these promises have conditions attached, and anytime a condition is met, the potency of the promise is activated in the believer’s life.

In today’s Scripture, the Father makes a profound promise that is very relevant to any believer living in these times: He promises to deliver anyone who sets his love upon Him (God); and to set that person on high because he has known God’s name. Awesome!!!

To set your love on God is to decide that you will do your best to please God in all your ways in spite of your personal weaknesses and challenges. It means to acknowledge your short fallings and constantly rely on God’s grace and mercy to please Him as each day passes by. God has promised to deliver any such person; He will fight all who attack you and grant you divine escapes. How wonderful!!!

To know God’s name is to acknowledge Him and trust in His name; to believe wholly that there’s no other source of true help. It is to lift up your eyes toward the hills and declare that all of your help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. God promises to set on high and honour any such persons. He will open closed doors for them and walk them through the corridors of honour. It will no longer be a matter of “whom you know.” God Himself will go ahead of such people always !!!

Beloved, begin to pray. Declare that “the Lord alone is my Refuge, my place of Safety; He is my God, and I trust Him.” For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from every deadly disease. He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. (Psalm 91: 2- 4). Set your love upon Him, He cares for you.
