Today’s Devotion:
Topic: You Will Weep No More!
Text: Isaiah 30: 19, 21, 23, 24, 26
19 People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you. 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
23 He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows. 24 The oxen and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel.
26 The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of His people and heals the wounds He inflicted. Amen
Beloved, kindly read the passage again and again. Isn’t it encouraging to know that things are not going to remain as terrible as they appear to be now? And that henceforth, as soon as we call, God will hear and then immediately He hears, He’ll send an answer and guide us along life’s journey.
Cheer up and rejoice in the Word of God. Receive it into your spirit. Things are already better if God is still on the throne. He will send rain for your seed in the ground and the food that comes from your toil will be rich and plentiful. Even your cattle, oxen and donkey will have abundant to eat and spare.
Rise up from the ash life pushed you into. If there is a better place of blessing in Christ, why sit in ashes and brood over past hurts and pain? Begin to pray now! Enough of the poverty, depression, worries, pains and fears! Ask the Lord to bind your bruises and heal your wounds from yesterday’s struggles.
From now, you are a brand new person in Christ. You endured the weeping nights, this is your morning; your time to shine again! From today, expect the moon to shine like the sun at night, and then by the day, the sun will shine seven times brighter over all you do and say.
Yes, you too deserve to be blessed by the Lord in all aspects of your life. God has no interest otherwise. Bring your praise; another, their testimony (even if the answer we’re trusting for is yet to manifest). Together, we will enjoy the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. “For no good thing does He behold from those whose walk is blameless.” (Psalm 84:11)
