Topic: Healer!

Text: Matthew 4: 23- 24

23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. 24 News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and He healed them. Amen

There are too many diseases for one to remember their names. Well, except for physicians, maybe. Some of these names are very “heavy” and reflect the suffering of the patient.

Most physicians are great with diagnosing diseases based on the symptoms a patient shows. However, they know they cannot cure it all. Sometimes, they try all the best they know to do, yet undesired results prevail.

At this point, if they are Christians, they privately pray for you and encourage your family members to do same. Though on paper they may declare your situation an impossible one, by their prayer they rather refer you to the consulting room of Dr. Jesus; He is the greatest physician of all time.

He can heal every disease and sickness; from severe pain to demon-possession; from seizures to paralysis. From the rich to the poor and the people in between, He heals them all. He does not struggle at this, although many might feel He does, just because they didn’t feel healed even after praying to God.

But first of all, He can not struggle with our healing because He MADE US AND KNOWS OUR FRAME. DON’T YOU THINK THE MAKER KNOWS JUST HOW TO FIX ANY PART OF US WHEN WE ACHE?

Secondly, He also bore stripes on His back, gaining the eternal licence to be responsible for healing our sickness and disease. The chastisement of our sin was on Him.

We may not always feel healed because healing takes place within before it reflects on the outside. It begins with a Word from the Lord which will transform you if you renew your mind and receive in faith. Power is then released, first to forgive every sin through the blood, cast out the infirmity, cleanse you, strengthen your weakness and restore you to God’s original design.

With God, all these take place in micro seconds but with us it might take sometime due to our faith, demonic covenants being broken to set us free or how far we allowed the sickness to control our minds instead of the Word of God. And of course, whether it is to the glory of God that we be healed of the sickness at a particular time.

If we hold on to the faith, and keep meditating on His Word, we will be stronger before we know; able to do what we couldn’t do before and much better than that. FOR THE LORD DOES NOT JUST HEAL, HE MAKES WHOLE.

Meditate on this while you pray for every family member who is sick. Ask Jesus for their healing no matter the disease. He is more than able to release them of the pains and bring hope for tomorrow. THE WORD OF GOD DOES NOT JUST HEAL, HE MAKES WHOLE.
