Today’s Devotion
Topic: No more EXCUSES
Text: Philippians 3: 12-14
”Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended;but one thing I do, forgetting those which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”. AMEN.
Precious One, we may fail in one way or the other. That is inevitable under the sun, but each time we fall, we ought to get back up on our feet and move on. No matter what, we are responsible for rising and running the race of life.
You see the secret of genuine success is to start from the scratch and keep on scratching till you find the hidden gold. Most great men and women who lived their dreams, persisted and refused to be discourage. They never let disappointment get the upper hand.
Brethren, let us be encouraged today being aware that challenges only spur us unto greater effort. Even when we get to the Red Sea, we still have to keep going because God will make a way in the middle of the sea for us. When we ran out of strength and are hungry, we know that God will send angels to feed us with food so we can travel and finish the journey.
Jesus has won the victory for us ahead of time. Just keep on scratching deeper, persistently, moving and hammering, soon your effect will pay-off big time. For we don’t despise humble beginnings, knowing that, even though we plant and water, it is God who gives the increase. Knowing that our God is faithful to increase and prosper the work of our hands should even motivate and encourage us the more to keep pressing on.
As April gradually gives way for May, set a goal for the latter. Pray now, ask the Lord to strengthen you press on for good works and take away any spirit of excuses in your life. He will cause that which you diligently do to increase and prosper.
